The Grant County Public Safety Committee voted to approve Resolution 2026‑18 authorizing the Grant County Sheriff to conduct search, rescue and recovery operations in boundary waters under Wisconsin statutes. The motion was made by John Beinborn and seconded by James McCartney; the motion carried and the resolution will be transmitted to the Full County Board for further action.
