The committee recommended approval of CUP26-016 on Aug. 6 to allow continued non-metallic mining on approximately 70 acres under section 3.05(E)(3) of the Grant County Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. South Lancaster Township approved the request July 8, 2026; Ben Schroeder was recorded in favor at the hearing. Committee members moved, seconded and carried the recommendation without township conditions.
