The board approved a request from Jackson Library staff to temporarily close that branch August 10'14 so staff can assemble new grant-funded furniture, relocate collections and reconfigure the children's area for improved accessibility and safety. The library representative said concentrating the work in a single week will reduce overall disruption and safety risks that come with doing the work while open to the public.
