Committee backs FY26 State Interoperability Radio Grant and WISCOM 800 resolution to authorize match
Grant County’s Disaster Services Committee approved forwarding a FY26 State Interoperability Radio Grant to buy compatible radios and approved a WISCOM 800 Resolution to authorize the non‑cash match (selling old equipment); both items will go to the Full County Board.

Emergency Management Director Steve Braun told the committee a FY26 State Interoperability Radio Grant is available to help purchase radios compatible with the statewide system and that the office is conducting field testing of the new radio system. "This grant would help purchase new radios to be compatible with this system for the Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Government," Braun said.
