City Clerk Julia Loving told the Burden City Council that the federal government has reopened but the city is still awaiting formal approval from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA RD) to award the 2024 Utility Improvements Project. Dan Fisher with USDA had not yet reviewed the award paperwork, Loving said.
