Residents say shared wastewater system could be strained by Thomas Lakes subdivision expansion

Toni and Amos Alstrom told the commission that adding four residential lots in the Thomas Lakes subdivision (applications #1419 & #1420; Thomas Lakes 6th Addition) would add stress to the Lake Allure/Thomas Lakes shared onsite wastewater system, which they said has functionality issues.

During the public-comment portion of the Aug. 3 meeting, residents Toni and Amos Alstrom raised concerns about the effect of adding four residential lots to the Thomas Lakes subdivision (referenced in prior filings as applications #1419 and #1420) on the shared onsite wastewater system serving Lake Allure/Thomas Lakes. The minutes record their comment that the additional lots would create "additional stress" on a system they described as having "functionality issues."
