Human Resources Director Doreen told the council the highway department’s administrative assistant will begin Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave soon and the department needs a temporary clerical hire to answer phones, help with payroll and handle other office duties. Council approved advertising a part-time temporary position (up to 28 hours per week) at $20.40 per hour and asked that the job description clearly state the role is temporary for roughly 12 weeks.
