Board authorizes survey for County Road A sewer main replacement after engineering briefing

Delta 3 Engineering's Mark Digman told the Village Board the timing for replacing the sewer main on County Road A is favorable because the county plans to reconstruct the roadway. Digman cited a sinkhole opening on 1st Street and a failed televising attempt under State Highway 35 that was blocked by water as evidence of a compromised pipe section. He presented a preliminary alignment designed to reduce costs by routing most pipe outside the roadway and minimizing manholes.
