The Red Oak Town Board on June 24 approved a request from the Salt Hill Watershed Community Group to have the town temporarily advance payment for a round of stream and residential water testing so the group can submit samples and get timely results. The community group has a reimbursement grant and a fiscal sponsor but lacks cash-on-hand to pay laboratory costs up front.
