Trustees pause Wind Point multi-department building plan after Excel Engineering presentation
After a schematic presentation from Excel Engineering that included a $249,240 architecture-and-engineering fee and preliminary project budgets in the $3–4 million range, the Wind Point Village Board voted to postpone action and referred the items back to staff and the BFIC for further study and cost refinement.

Trustee discussion and public comment over a proposed combined village hall, police department and public-works facility dominated the meeting. Excel Engineering told trustees the AE (architecture and engineering) lump-sum fee to produce construction documents would be $249,240. "The architecture and engineering fee, we call it the AE fee, is for a lump sum of $249,240," said Callie Ogi of Excel Engineering during the presentation.
