Trappe Update: Well 4R Complete, Water Tower Permitting Under Review; Tower Could Take 12–20 Months
Town officials reported Well 4R reached substantial completion on March 14 and received a Certificate of Potability on April 14; permitting responses for the Piney Hill water tower are under review by MDE and, if cleared, the project will go to bid with an estimated 12–20 month completion window.

James Cook updated the council on the Lakeside Well 4R and the Piney Hill water tower. "Well 4R received substantial completion on March 14, 2026 and a Certificate of Potability on April 14, 2026," Cook said, and noted that GMB supplied a letter stating the well is operational and provides the town with an additional 96 EDUs.
