Nathan Shuck of the watershed board presented maps and a two-stage construction timeline for a wetland/off-channel project. Nathan Shuck, representing the watershed board, gave a detailed presentation on an off-channel wetland and stream-channel excavation project. He said construction will occur in two stages, described spoil- and erosion-control plans, and reviewed vegetation and seeding mixes intended to reduce phosphorus and suspended solids. "As the watershed inflow to the project for total phosphorus, there was 985 pounds flowing through annually... the removal for that project is 108 pounds, so around 11% captured in this project, per year," Shuck reported, and for total suspended solids he cited inflow of 153.4 with a removal of 61.6 (about 40%).
