The Pawnee County Board of Commissioners appointed Jill Hatfield to the position of County Assessor for the remainder of the current term during its Sept. 29 meeting. Commissioner Jan Lang moved for the appointment, Commissioner Lavon Heidemann seconded, and the motion was approved with votes recorded for Seitz, Lang and Heidemann.
