Sumner County commissioners approved Phase 1 of the volunteer fire services ad hoc committee’s recommendation, authorizing work to create and fund a county fire coordinator position and to begin Phase 1 activities. The motion to approve Phase 1 was made by Commissioner Issa and seconded by Commissioner Harris and carried on a voice vote.
