Senator Rucker’s amendment adopted; SB 865 reported to Judiciary then full Senate
The committee adopted a conceptual amendment to the committee substitute for Senate Bill 865 offered by Senator Rucker and then reported the substitute as amended to the full Senate, recommending passage and first referral to the Committee on The Judiciary.

Senate Bill 865 was explained by counsel Jenna Fonner; Senator Rucker offered a conceptual amendment which counsel acknowledged. By voice vote the amendment was adopted and the committee agreed to the substitute language as amended. Senator Deeds moved that the Committee Substitute for SB 865 be reported to the full Senate with recommendation that it pass, with the original double committee reference requiring referral first to the Committee on The Judiciary; the motion carried.
