State-driven code changes force several zoning updates including manufactured-home rules and solar allowances
City staff told council the upcoming Oct. 8 hearings include mandated code updates from the General Assembly: residential districts that allow site-built houses must allow manufactured homes; architectural guidelines may forbid manufactured homes in preservation corridors; ground-mounted solar projects of 1 megawatt+ and small portable 'patio' solar devices are to be allowed in specified districts; temporary wireless support structures are also on the agenda.
