The Mendon Selectboard reviewed the Rutland County Sheriff contract for fiscal year 2027 and voted to renew it at a rate of $58.96 per hour, with a contract cap of $98,109 covering deputy, cruiser and animal-control officer (ACO) costs. Town Clerk/Town Administrator Sara Tully told the Board the increase in the contract cost was approximately 4.5 percent from the prior year.
