Unidirectional flushing and hydrant testing reveal mapping errors and expand mains total
The board heard that unidirectional flushing (UDF) found mapping errors—including a misrouted valve and discovery of two water mains on West 6th Street—and that flow testing of 94 hydrants will begin with a multi-year plan that may raise the town's recorded miles of main to roughly 65 miles.
