Council adopts ordinance creating Preapproved Housing Design Plan Program
On second reading the Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 2026-09 amending Town Code Title 15 to establish a program for preapproved, non-site-specific housing plans and an online plan library under A.R.S. —7-461.19.

Huachuca City Council on June 25 adopted Ordinance No. 2026-09, which amends Title 15 of the Town Code to establish a Preapproved Housing Design Plan Program and an online Preapproved Plan Library. The ordinance permits architects and design professionals to submit non-site-specific housing plan sets for pre-review; plans deemed compliant with adopted building codes may be posted in the Town's online library. The measure also allows the Town to accept preapproved plans from other municipalities that use the same building codes.
