Town readies septic-inspection program; staff recommend $4.50 fee

Administrator Aiken told the council staff are prepared to assume septic inspections and that the permit and inspection protocol will likely include three inspections under normal circumstances. He noted training and administrative costs and suggested a fee of about $4.50 to offset town expenses. "I think probably at this point...it would probably cost us around $450" in staff time and training per some of the planning assumptions discussed, and the recommended public fee was $4.50, staff said.
