Staff briefed commissioners on a wave of upcoming residential and commercial projects and flagged infrastructure and capital-improvement challenges as development activity accelerates. The commission heard that new development often requires curb, gutter and sidewalk work paid as part of development projects and that recent improvements to a bridge across Santa Paula Creek and widening of Santa Paula Street were examples of development-driven public infrastructure.
