The Maiden Rock Town Board voted to pay an estimated $22,286 chargeback tied to the WI Frac Sand appeal for tax year 2020. Assessor Bob Irwin told the board some of that amount will be returned because the Ellsworth School and county portions will reduce the township's final obligation; he said the online payment process must be completed by Oct. 1, 2025.
