The full story

Scott, Coastal Parks director, briefed the court on a RESTORE Act grant of $7.5 million awarded to Nueces County for coastal park improvements. He said grant development began in 2016 and the county was awarded funding in 2018. Permits and environmental work are largely complete; staff will proceed with procurement once the county's method of procurement is approved and the U.S. Treasury or relevant agency issues notice to proceed for construction.
