Mayor Demings told the board that a mixed-use building at 7343 West Sand Lake Drive was evacuated because of structural safety concerns and that about 183 apartments housing roughly 300 residents are affected. Fire Rescue, the Orange County Sheriffs Office and the county building department are on scene with contractor engineers conducting structural evaluations.
