A county commissioner (S2, Paul McDaniel) told the board the county will apply for two federal grants due July 9: one for a command trailer with a camera and tower and another for multi-band radios that combine UHF, VHF and 800 MHz bands. S2 said last year the trailer price was $135,007.40 and that updated quotes put the likely cost around $138,000–$140,000; the grant program caps awards at $150,000.
