Council authorized the city manager to solicit proposals for the city's single-haul refuse and recycling contract at the May 26 meeting. Staff said the existing contract with Rumpke expires June 30, 2027, and that initiating procurement more than a year in advance gives any new hauler time to obtain vehicles and equipment and provides more competitive pricing for residents.
