Bridgette Ambrusco of the Akron Parks Collaborative presented an update to the Parks & Recreation Committee on the Akron Parks Challenge and the nonprofit's new strategic plan. She said priorities include supporting park friends groups, the Parks Challenge, nature‑in‑the‑neighborhood work, equity‑driven metrics, fundraising and storytelling to raise awareness of parks' community value.
