Auditor flags lower Local Effort assumed minimum, reviews bond proceeds and budget implications

Auditor Lisa Frederiksen presented a spreadsheet showing bond proceeds and capital-project balances and explained projected balances after transfers and the Courthouse alley project estimate. Frederiksen said the Department of Revenue confirmed that the new minimum of the Local Effort amounts has changed from 75% to 51% due to legislation that may push down county levies; she advised supervisors to consider that change when planning budgets.
