Morrison County Information Technology wrote to the County Commissioners on Sept. 22, 2026 asking the board to acknowledge National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and to promote certain cybersecurity practices across county operations. The letter lists recommended actions including teaching employees to avoid phishing scams, using a password manager, updating business software, logging activity, backing up and encrypting data, sharing cyber incidents with CISA, conducting incident plan testing, and preparing for system disruptions.
