Dan McIntyre, CEO of North Coast Opportunities, told the board his agency runs Head Start in Lake County and thanked supervisors for the proclamation. He said recent federal proposals affecting Head Start have prompted attention and resistance locally: "We continue to push back on that because early childhood development is very important in developing the new leaders of today."
