Thomas, a wastewater lab tech assistant apprentice, explained the lab's role and specific testing steps. "We monitor the levels of, like, phosphorus, ammonia," he said, and added staff also watch solids and nutrient levels to ensure the plant complies with Department of Natural Resources requirements.
