Dr. Christine Kelly and staff reviewed two policy updates returning for a second reading in September. Policy 105.2 (exemption from instruction) updates model PSBA language clarifying alternatives provided when a student is excused from specific instruction (for example, dissection), including work to be completed in lieu of the activity. Policy 202 (eligibility of nonresident students) updates language and clarifies notification and hearing responsibilities when the district identifies a student as a potential nonresident.
