Deb Scheibler, executive director of Kansas Workforce 1, presented an overview of the board’s recent mergers and the services it offers across 98 counties. Scheibler explained that the merged board provides business services, adult and youth programs, dislocated worker help, apprenticeship support and other workforce development services, and that under the county agreement the commissioners would have the right to appoint a representative to the Chief Elected Official Board.
