Weldon Ordinance Committee to develop proposal merging three nuisance ordinances

The Ordinance Committee of the Village of Weldon agreed at a special meeting on Sept. 4, 2025, to develop a proposal to combine three existing local ordinances into one consolidated nuisance ordinance. The meeting, held at Weldon Village Hall and called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chair Jamie Russell, listed the items for review as Abandoned Vehicle Ordinance #90.02, Junk & Waste Ordinance #93.02, and Ordinance #93.18 (Junk, Parts, Machinery, Motor Vehicles, Buildings & Structures). The committee recorded that it will present the consolidation proposal to the full board at the next board meeting for consideration.
