The City Council approved the mayoral appointment of Christina Peterson as City Treasurer, effective Aug. 4, 2026. Jan Elliott moved the motion to approve the appointment and John Miller seconded; the motion carried with recorded yea votes from Colton, Elliott, Gockley and Miller.
