Commissioners ratify emergency Highway Department purchases

County Engineer Danny Hollander asked the board to ratify two previously made Highway Department expenditures. The first was a Crafco purchase of RoadSaver silicone crack sealer—22,500 lbs at $0.58 per pound ($13,050) plus freight $1,097.25, for a Crafco total of $14,147.25—related to an earlier approved rental of a crack seal machine. The second was IMI Indiana, LLC’s repair of CR 800 S after heavy rains caused a washout, totaling $6,698.20.
