On Feb. 9, 2026, the Town Council adopted the 2025 update to the RVARC Hazard Mitigation Plan. Town Manager Tim Mack told Council that adopting the plan enables the Town to request disaster-related funding, including FEMA dollars, and encouraged the Council to approve the update. Mayor Sue Way moved to adopt and Councilmember Edith “Sissy” Austin seconded; the motion passed 5-0.
