Board approves text amendment to add variance process to Chapter 90
The Planning and Zoning Board voted 4-0 to recommend a text amendment to Chapter 90 to create a formal variance process for internal traffic circulation, access and storage regulations, giving applicants an alternative to appeals of staff interpretations.

Planner Ashley Austin presented a proposed text amendment (Ord. 26-962) to Chapter 90 (Internal Traffic Circulation, Access and Storage) that would create an explicit variance process where previously only an appeal of a staff interpretation was available. The Board discussed the draft language and concluded that a variance procedure would provide an appropriate mechanism for administrative relief.
