Candler County authorizes $20,000 pre-closure engineering plan for landfill
The board authorized a $20,000 proposal from HHNT to prepare a preliminary closure design and cost estimate for the county municipal solid waste landfill to submit to GEFA and EPD as part of permanent closure planning.

The commissioners voted 5-0 to authorize County Administrator Bryan Aasheim to execute a proposal from Hodges, Harbin, Newberry & Tribble, Inc. (HHNT) for a pre-closure engineering plan for the Candler County S.R. 121 municipal solid waste landfill. HHNT’s proposal estimates $20,000 to prepare preliminary construction drawings and a cost estimate for final closure and includes a 15% contingency for unknowns.
