Silver Cliff board adopts one-year moratorium on data centers
The Town of Silver Cliff Board of Trustees on Aug. 4 approved Resolution 07-2026, placing a one-year moratorium on data center approvals while the town researches rules and impacts. The resolution passed by motion; the town attorney said during the meeting the town will not approve data centers during the moratorium.

The Town of Silver Cliff Board of Trustees approved Resolution 07-2026 on Aug. 4, imposing a moratorium on data center approvals while staff and the board study potential regulations. Trustee Shanna McKellip moved the resolution and Trustee Kris Schmidt seconded; the motion carried.
