Town manager to get more authority under proposed procurement-code update

Manager Suzanne Harvey told council the procurement code is out of date and that prior thresholds that once represented substantial sums no longer do. She recommended replacing an RFP requirement for projects over $10,000 with a three-quote requirement and granting the Town Manager authority to approve emergency expenditures up to $35,000.
