Committee recommends reclassifying accounting officer to accounting supervisor

The Budget Finance Committee on Oct. 8 voted to recommend Resolution 2026-89 to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen to reclassify the Accounting Officer position to Accounting Supervisor and amend the Building and Licensing Department organizational chart. The Billing and Licensing Director presented the change, saying the move is prompted by an upcoming vacancy and is intended to "streamline operations, improve employee support, and maximize operational efficiency."
