Geneva County approves Rebuild Alabama paving contract and issues Oct. 1 Notice to Proceed
The Commission approved the FY2026 Rebuild Alabama contract and issued a Notice to Proceed with a start date of Oct. 1, 2026, for resurfacing work on county roads identified in the Rebuild bid; county engineer oversight will be required during execution.

The Commission approved the FY2026 Rebuild Alabama contract and authorized Chairman Seay to sign the contract and a Notice to Proceed for the project with a start date of Oct. 1, 2026. The action followed representation that the contractor had signed the contract distributed with the bids. Commissioner Hatcher moved to approve and to issue the Notice to Proceed; Commissioner Brannon seconded and the vote was 4-0.
