Town staff (S20) updated the committee on a late-breaking development affecting Article 3, a home-rule petition about installing geothermal wells under a protected open space (Warne Field). Staff reported that EEA has verbally changed its prior guidance in light of a recent Supreme Judicial Court decision; staff will seek written confirmation and consult MSBA before recommending whether to proceed with or withdraw the article.
