Board approves qualified list for performance-surety contractor selection

Staff told the committee the on-call professional-services agreement will let the city select prequalified contractors to perform improvements under performance sureties when a developer fails to complete required work. The list is intended to provide selection among three qualified contractors and any surety call must be approved through the planning commission; if costs exceed the surety the board would need to authorize additional funding.
