Residents and program leaders told the board that adding pickleball to the RFP was not included originally, asked what community input or data justified the change, and urged the board to avoid displacing existing tennis programming.

Bianca Beltran told the board that pickleball was not part of the original RFP and that the community deserves evidence or public input before the sport is added to the solicitation. "Pickleball was not included in the original RFP, so I believe the community deserves to understand what data demonstrated need or community input led to its addition," she said.
