Butler County renews MOU with Reno County for WIC dietitian services after local vacancy
With Butler County's WIC dietitian position vacant, the board approved renewing an MOU with Reno County Health Department to provide dietitian services at $53/hour up to eight hours weekly (not to exceed $22,050), with in-person visits reimbursed for mileage.

Broderick Bean, representing the Butler County Health Department, told the board that the county's dietitian resigned in September 2025 and the department has been unable to fill the position despite outreach to applicants and a university program. Bean said the county has contracted with the Reno County Health Department, which employs three full-time dietitians for its WIC program, and recommended renewing that MOU.
