The Butler County Board of Commissioners declared Sept. 17 through Sept. 23, 2026, as Constitution Week at the Sept. 15 meeting after a presentation from Mary Jo Jurey of the Flores del Sol chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jurey, the chapter—s Constitution Week Chairman, requested the proclamation and provided historical context about the observance—s origin in 1955 and a 1956 presidential declaration.
