The commission voted to go into closed session under MCL 15.268(e) to discuss litigation in the matter of Gooch et al v. City of Battle Creek (transcript references case number 24-1498). After the closed session, a commissioner moved and the commission approved a motion authorizing settlement "on terms as discussed in closed session." The motion as recorded in the public portion referenced case number "2098," an inconsistency with the earlier recorded case number in the closed-session item.
