Staff reviewed the City's agreement with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, noting the contract provides one sergeant and eight deputies dedicated to Anna Maria and that the City receives additional services such as marine patrol, dispatch, motorcycle patrol and mounted patrol during high-demand periods and special events. Mayor Mark Short specifically recognized Sergeant Gettman for his experience and familiarity with the City's needs.
